HUNTER EDUCATION CLINIC AT WYANDOTTE COUNTY LAKE
FREE CLINIC

Where: Wyandotte County Lake
(91st & Leavenworth Rd, Kansas City, KS 66109, NEAR THE ARCHERY RANGE)

When: September 12th & 13th, 2026:
Saturday 7:30am-5:00pm & Sunday to 10:00am to 2:00pm
*test following the end of class on Sunday.

You are REQUIRED to attend both days and pass the test to receive your certification.

For registration on Saturday, September 12th at 7am. If you would like to stay with a group all subjects must be present at the time of check-in.

Who: People wanting to learn about Hunters safety and/or want to get their KS Hunter Education certification. *Anyone 11 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Any adults born before July 1, 1957, are also welcome to attend the clinic. By Kansas Law effective January 1, 2005 - No one under the age of 11 will be certified in hunter education. Those under age 11 may take the course on a Space Available basis. Anyone taking the Hunter Education courses prior to age 11, will be required to take the course again for certification after turning 11.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED TO BRING: 

- Chair or blanket                   - Reusable Water Bottle (water on-site)
- Snacks                                  - Sack lunch (for Saturday if you don't like free pizza)
- Bug spray                             - Sunscreen
- Hat (if wanted)                     - coat (if cold)
- Sunglasses                           - Rain gear

- And anything you will need to be outside all day.

REMEMBER, THIS IS AN OUTDOOR CLINIC – IT WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE.

Students NOT pre-enrolled online by Wednesday, September 9rd, should be at the clinic site at 7:00am on Saturday, September 12th, to register.

Groups may stay together (Example: Boy Scouts, Family members). You need to pre-register and let us know prior to September 3rd. Contact us with any questions go HERE. Please note that groups can not register until the whole group 

DO NOT BRING ANY TYPE OF FIREARMS OR AMMUNITION TO THE CLINIC.

This is all provided at the clinic and is safety checked before use.
